Silje returns to her jazz roots with her new album Tomorrow We'll Figure Out The Rest, which began in 2001 with her international breakthrough At First Light. Now she weaves her musical history with new compositions that sound like personal classics. Together with her long-standing Norwegian trio and the renowned Stavanger Symphony Orchestra, Silje creates a touching soundscape—with arrangements by Grammy Award winner Vince Mendoza. The result is a multi-layered sound between Nordic melancholy and playful lightness. Silje's musical companions – Helge Lien (piano), Finn Guttormsen (bass), and Jarle Vespestad (drums) – bring a familiar intimacy to each piece. Their connection on stage is deep: “Like a family. We understand each other without words – on stage, we breathe almost in unison.” In concert, Silje combines new songs with her best-known pieces such as Be Still My Heart, Tell Me Where You're Going, Dance Me Love, and Lullaby to Erle. Her live performances are musical embraces – warm, poetic, moving. “I want my music to last.
